Polianthes tuberosa, commonly known in Spanish as Azucena, is not native to Puerto Rico but it's very present in our culture. Specially at Old San Juan, thanks to Don Saúl who has been selling them for years on the streets of this historic site. Many people recognize him by his famous calling: "aaaaaaazucenas" while carrying dozens of these flowers. Thank you, Don Saúl, for bringing joy to all of us who appreciate beauty.
