Slow growing, but of incomparable size. The ausubo (Manilkara bidentata) is a tree that can reach a height of up to 100 feet with a long life of unceasing greenery; its long life cycle can reach 300 to 400 years. It is characterized by its wide trunk up to 4 feet in diameter, horizontal branches and its dark green leaves, which turn red before falling.
The ausubo has an extremely resistant wood, historically used for construction, tools and handicrafts. It is usually planted to create shade or to utilize its wood. It is typically found in the beams of buildings in Old San Juan, and now with this shirt, you can dress it up and show it off anywhere.
