Acueducto: Historia del Agua en San Juan is the result of a 10-year investigation in which author and historian Aníbal Sepúlveda Rivera revealed the interconnections between human ingenuity, water conservation, and ecosystems from a primary source, the Piedras River. It is an invitation to the reader to understand that drinking water in an urban setting is a natural and physical necessity, as well as a symbol of the history of the capital city. This book gives a historical tour from the first well in the Morro in the 16th century to the construction of the Old Piedras River Aqueduct, now a National Treasure.
